Why I'm grateful for my BRCA test

It's been 10 years since I discovered that I have a BRCA2 mutation that gives me a 69 percent lifetime risk of breast cancer (according to the National Cancer Institute). Here's an article I wrote on Medium about why, despite the news, I'm glad I had the test.
